  1. I feel the fingerspelling was a little fast for me :O But I liked how you showed the pictures to back up why you think it's interesting for children - I could easily see how kids would be drawn to the colorful pictures. What grade would you recommend this book and those discussions for?

  2. The fingerspelling was a bit too fast - I agree. I think it's the video itself that makes the fingers a bit blurry but I caught the author/illustrator's names. I love how you introduced the background of the book - related to gay pride that occurs in June! The pictures are very colourful!
Social Justice issues - there are many topics that the book covers, I agree! Can introduce one or two topics in the classroom then expand on that. In regards with Stonewall and New York riots back in the day - how would you introduce this topic with which grade?
    Overall, great choice!

  3. I thought about LGBTQ community. It is important for them in class, which is great idea! The picture's book is clear and beautiful, so I want to read it more. Also, Deaf children can learn about the pride related background of LGBTQ. But it little challenge for me because I do not know about LGBT community. So, I want to learn more about LGBTQ! Thank you for sharing the picture's book!
